Manufacturing dates: FEB 2018, JUNE 2018, MAY 2019, DEC 2019
It is very important that customers who purchased a Cabina Bunk Bed manufactured with one of the above dates inspect the screws that hold your Cabina Bunk Bed’s mattress foundation to the bed’s guard rails. A label on the lower part of the bunk bed's headboard panel contains the date your bunk bed was manufactured.
Casa Kids recently discovered a problem in a few Cabina bunk beds and ask that you inspect your bed to make sure it does not have a similar problem.
We have examined a few beds where the screws that are designed to hold the mattress foundation to the bed guardrails are loose. Fortunately, no injuries have occurred because of these cases.
It is important for you to inspect both beds immediately to determine if the screws that hold the mattress foundation to the bed guardrails remain tightly engaged. Here is a link to a video showing how to conduct this simple inspection.
As shown in the video, here is how to conduct the inspection of the upper and the bottom bed:
If you find that any of the screws spin and do not tighten the mattress foundation cleat to the bed guardrail, please stop using that bed and contact me, Roberto Gil, owner, Casa Kids at (718) 694-0272 and we will send you larger, replacement screws.
The solution to "spinning screws" is very simple.
Here is a link to a video that shows how to replace a screw.
I am very sorry for this inconvenience and please let me know if you have any trouble either identifying whether any screws are spinning or how to replace a spinning screw. We will be happy to help you.
Thank you and feel free to write back to me with your findings. We put safety first.
