Step into Eleanor and Gabriel's room, a thoughtfully designed space that prioritizes both organization and privacy. This layout is ideal for larger, wider rooms, offering a perfect solution for siblings who need their own areas while sharing a room. The central cabinets not only serve as a room divider but also provide ample storage for both children, giving each their personal space without compromising on functionality or style.
The partition cabinetry, just 12 inches deep, features open adjustable shelving and hidden storage behind doors, ensuring everything has its place. To add another layer of functionality, the backs of the cabinets are fitted with cork board, turning the area into an interactive display for art, notes, and keepsakes.
The family had previously purchased our Cabina bunk bed, which we repurposed by separating the beds and adding storage drawers beneath each. Above both beds, we attached open shelving cabinets to provide extra space for books, toys, and collectibles. On Eleanor's side of the room (left), we retained her beloved ConnectMe2 desk from their original setup, while on Gabriel's side (right), we placed a Modulor 31 desk that aligns with the top of the hanging cabinet over the bed. Both desks are complemented by our ConnectMe chairs for a cohesive look.
The finishes throughout the room are a sleek combination of birch and white accents, creating a clean, modern look that blends seamlessly with the rest of the home. Each bed features a hanging tray nightstand, offering convenience without interfering with the under-bed storage.
Finally, Gabriel’s side of the room is enhanced by a custom radiator cover, designed to blend in with the rest of the furniture. This room perfectly demonstrates how flexible, modular furniture can adapt to changing needs, giving kids the independence and privacy they crave while still sharing a space.
