The vision for Grace’s room was clear from the instant we walked into her large, sun drenched space. We needed to maintain the open feel while enhancing the warmth of the room. To achieve this we settled on an oak finish with white accents. Our oak finish is a nice in-between wood; walnut is our darkest and birch our lightest. In Grace’s case we wanted the warmth that a walnut finish provides while contrasting enough from the already dark wood floors which could make the room feel tighter. The white accents keep the room open and bounces sunlight throughout.
A large window seat flanked by two custom armoires and bookshelves provide Grace with all the storage she could possibly need through her teen years. On the upholstered window bench Grace relaxes with a good book as the sun pouring through the window keeps her warm. The Marino Bunk over Daybed has is the ideal place for Grace to hang out with friends, they can even sleepover! In addition to the white bunk bed with storage, the stairs feature even more drawers for clothing or toy storage. Finally Grace’s room has a large Dumbo Desk. This desk has an impressive amount of shelving and drawers to store away school supplies. To complete the room, Grace’s matching bed and desk set has a custom chair that is modern and super strong. We’ve kept the center of the room unobstructed so Grace can play with friends in her ample floorspace. Between so much seating and floor space, her room is bound to be the go to hangout destination.
