Ayrton's Room: A Playful Loft With Built-In Functionality.

Designed as a multifunctional space that grows with him, Ayrton’s room features a custom full-size version of our Dumbo loft bed. The L-shape staircase attached to this bed includes a total of 7 drawers and 2 drawers to maximize storage, and features a wall mounted handrail and stair rail panel to increase the safety for Ayrton as he’s walking up and down the stairs.

Next to the staircase, one of the loft cabinets faces outwards from under the bed, offering wardrobe storage with shelves and a hanging bar that can be adjusted as Ayrton gets older. Facing inside the loft, an additional cabinet provides extra shelving storage behind a door. Across from the storage cabinets, we designed a custom desk cabinet that features pencil drawers, open cubbies, and adjustable shelving unit for books and display items.

Out from under the loft bed we designed a custom bookcase with staggered vertical partitions. The height of the bookcase aligns with the headboard of the bed, giving Ayrton a convenient night table. The finish used in this room is natural birch with white accents, creating a bright clean look.
