A day bed with cabinets, a desk and plenty of storage.

Dilan needed a bed plus a lot of space for studying and storing his books. We built a day bed that fits snugly between two cabinets to maximize floor space in this small room.

The bed also features a trundle for added sleeping space. Because the flooring in this room is carpeted, we used runners (like skiis) underneath the trundle instead of wheels.

Dilan's desk, situated opposite the bed, is spacious and features both drawers and a cable management shelf beneath the desktop that wards off clutter by keeping all wires and surge protectors off the floor.

The adjacent shelving unit is almost seven feet long and features a wide, multi-purpose bench. The bench is perfect for sitting and can also be used as a stepping stool to safely access items on upper shelves.

The drawers below provide Dilan with easy access to toys, and their proximity to the ground ensures that clean-up is quick and easy.
